Overview
Hammerite Garage Door Paint is specially formulated for use on metal doors. It’s tough and durable and provides a beautiful gloss finish that’s resistant to flaking and discolouration. It’s easy to apply as specifically designed to reduce runs especially when applied to vertical surfaces. Available in a range of colours including Oxford Blue, Buckingham Green and Black.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust.
- Remove any rust from metal surfaces with a wire brush.
- Lightly abrade painted surfaces with sandpaper for smooth surfaces use a 240 grit or for areas with substainal wear use a 120 grit.
- Degrease where necessary with white spirit.

Application
Before applying Hammerite Garage Door Paint test a small area to ensure the surface is suitably prepared.
- Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or above 25°C.
- Lightly stir the paint before use.
- For best results apply with a brush do not overload the product on vertical suraces.
- Generally you will require one to two coats however where strong colour change is required you may need to apply more coats.
- Allow to dry overnight before applying a second coat.
